Sunrise Maternity Photoshoot in Punta Cana

If you are thinking in booking a maternity photoshoot on your next visit to Punta Cana, just know that Caribbean winter is the best time to do it. (Between November and April)

Ashley was one of Amanda’s bridesmaids. She was getting married at Hard Rock Punta Cana last December. The bride recommended us to her friend even before doing her wedding photos. That kind of trust really means a lot to us.

When someone asks us “what is the best time for a photoshoot” here, our answer is always the same: sunrise or sunset. But, obviously, it depends of many factors, not all the photoshoots are the same. So, when Ashley contacted us to book her pregnancy photo session, we just said, let’s do it at sunrise -Sunrises during winter are not that early as in summer, so we shot the first picture around 7.00am.

Macao is one of our favorite places for portraits, is located in between the resorts from Uvero Alto (like Dreams Onyx or Dreams Punta Cana, Chic, Breathless, Ocean El Faro, etc.) and the other ones in Bavaro/Punta Cana (like Hard Rock Hotel, Royalton Bavaro & Royalton Punta Cana, all of the Majestic Resorts, RIU, Grand Bahia Principe, etc.) The beach has several spots with tall palm trees, white sand, (normally, you don’t get to see a lot of sargazo on this area), turquoise water and also it has some local elements like boats from the actual fishermen, little shops and local cuisine stores.

We spent one hour with Ashley and her husband doing some candid portraits. It was a sunny morning but the weather was warmth without humidity and even some breeze. In one word, perfect!
