Catherine & Brandon
Greenery beach wedding in Jellyfish Punta Cana / Catherine & Brandon
As many couples who planned their destination wedding celebration in 2020, Catherine & Brandon had to change their wedding plans to Punta Cana. “We decided to wait until 2020 to marry to enjoy a few years of engagement and living in a new home, the world had other idea. When the pandemic hit we chose to postpone a year, and then another, which left me in a bit of a mess. I wasn’t sure where to begin or what to do next, but my amazing vendors helped steer me on the right path” happily says Catherine.
The couple chose Jellyfish Restaurant as their wedding venue and let us tell you it was a pretty good decision. We were witnesses to dozens of lovely wedding celebrations in this unique place in Punta Cana. Catherine, Brandon and their guests stayed at Melia Caribe -an all inclusive resort very close to Jellyfish Restaurant- but they opted for having their wedding in an off resort wedding venue.
Lately, with the very unfair and expensive “vendor fees” the resorts charge you to hire any professional for your wedding, we are encouraging clients to look for “off-resort” wedding dedicated venues, they do wonderful and unique experiences at a fraction of the total price of a resort. It doesn’t hurt to find out about their availability and prices. Please, ask us for information about this option. We are always ready to go over EVERY details of your wedding day through a phone or video call.
But now, let Catherine & Brandon tell you about their wedding and discover the reasons for them to have a destination wedding here.
“Brandon and I met in 2013, introduced by my aunt who Brandon worked with. Having immediately hit it off, we fell in love fast. We took our first vacation together in 2017 in Punta Cana where Brandon surprised me with the proposal of my dreams! (Alone, on the beach, under the stars!) We knew right away that we wanted to get married there. I found Jellyfish on Pinterest and knew it was the exact look we wanted, after interviewing quite a few venues we decided that Jellyfish was perfect for our vision” says Catherine.
Jellyfish Restaurant is very well known for customising all their wedding celebrations. The couple brought an idea and the Jellyfish wedding team made it true. Not to mention the unique architecture of the place and the beautiful Caribbean style scenery outside on their beach area. We can spend hours taking pictures at this place, no kidding.
What was the vision for your wedding, Catherine?
“I’d always dreamed of a very natural wedding. We wanted lots of greenery, soft color flowers, and hints of gold with natural wood tones. There was no set theme but more of a feeling! Overall, the day was more than we ever dreamed of, and we are so grateful to have those moments captured forever thanks to our gorgeous photos! We ended with a big smile.
