When you decide to say yes, you dream of that day being wonderful. So it was for Amanda and Brian who were school friends, but they met again 25 years later and started dating. Unfortunately, soon, Brian moved to Spain.

“I felt lost without him and had fallen in love with him, I wasn’t going to give up on us, so I followed him to Spain. I went out a few times and decided to move there with my youngest 2 children and our dog. We moved back to the UK 4 or 5 years later. On Christmas 2020, Brian proposed to me (still in shock to this day). I said yes of course!, says Amanda with a big smile.

What about having a destination wedding in the Caribbean?

“We wanted a beach wedding, somewhere nice and hot. We first looked at Jamaica but thought it was too expensive if we wanted friends and family to go, and spoke to “perfect weddings abroad” who recommended the Dominican Republic. We booked in February 2021 and chose September 2022. We chose The Grand Bahia Principe Punta cana as it looked lovely and the cost was reasonable” – Amanda.

The Grand Bahía Principe hotel is located an hour away by car from the Punta Cana airport. It has 756 rooms, 2 swimming pools, 6 restaurants, 4 bars, a spa, a water park for children, a convention and events room, free wifi, disco, and much more. In addition, a dream gazebo to celebrate beautiful weddings. Amanda & Brian chose this one for their celebration and it turned out great. They opted for a subtle but charming decoration to say yes on the beach with their closest family and friends.

The hotel wedding packages include a wedding planner, flowers, decoration, pre-wedding spa treatment, and more. Plus, it has beautiful beaches for unforgettable wedding photo sessions. Even when the sargazo was a really bad thing, it depends on the season, whether you could find the shore pretty clear or not.

As they planned a very small wedding, they opted for having just one single photographer and they asked to customize one of our photography collections. That was a pretty good idea, because they were handling a specific budget for their celebration and we were able to cover all the moments that they wanted.

So, prior to the wedding ceremony, they chose to include some pictures of Amanda’s getting ready, an unforgettable moment for her and her bridesmaids.

It is important to correctly choose who is gonna be with you for this moment, since nerves arise prior to the big moment, the bride needs an intimate circle that supports her in this part of her important day. Also, getting ready is a moment of celebration and toast since it is the last moments of being single, as well as relaxing for the preparations of the wedding that is about to happen.

Finally, after their romantic wedding ceremony, they had a pleasant and fun moment during their photo session. Before we left, we captured them on their first dance as newlyweds, after that, the party was on.
