A Magical Surprise Proposal in Punta Cana!

A surprise proposal on the beach in Punta Cana is truly magical! With 14 years of experience, we’ve had the privilege of capturing some of the most unforgettable moments.

When we receive a proposal request, we often find that the person planning it doesn’t know where to start—just like Hermes, who discovered us on TikTok and wasn’t sure how to begin.

He and Daniela, now his fiancée, are from Colombia and had planned a getaway to the Dominican Republic this past January. Hermes reached out to us with several messages, looking for advice and tips on how to make his proposal perfect.

We discussed several options, including a romantic dinner by the shore at a local restaurant. But since it was a surprise, he needed a believable reason to get Daniela on board. His perfect excuse? Her birthday! He told her, “Let’s do a couple’s photoshoot.” (A clever cover-up if you already have a photographer booked—just like he did!)

To make this moment truly special, we helped him with everything:

We suggested Macao Beach, a stunning spot known for its natural beauty and secluded areas—perfect for privacy and breathtaking ocean views. Plus, it’s a public beach not too far from their resort.

We chose an early morning session to take advantage of the soft lighting (since it was winter) and to avoid crowds.

Hermes knew from the start that he wanted a professional photographer to discreetly document the proposal. But we also surprised them by bringing our drone for some stunning overhead shots!

We picked them up from their resort, drove about 10 minutes to the beach, and set everything up. The result? Absolutely breathtaking!

Now, Hermes and Daniela are counting down the days until their wedding in Colombia!
