The couple met back in 2008 at their first year of college. They were best friends for almost 2 years and then one of them (still “arguing” about which one, realized that there should be more than friendship between them.
The idea about a destination wedding came as a combination of their dream to visit Dominican Republic for the first time and getting married in a idilc place. They chose Catalonia Royal Bavaro Adults Only for their stay since a friend of them recommended it. “…We were more than happy with everything we experienced there, starting with extremely nice and kind people working there, whole ambient, food and amenities” says Ivan.
Catalonia Royal Bavaro is an all inclusive resort located just 15 minutes away from Punta Cana International Airport. With white sands, turquoise water and a lot of palm trees and coconut plantations, this place turns into a authentic tropical paradise.
Sandra & Ivan, croatians lovers, wanted a little different and non-traditional celebration, so beach wedding was their next extra-ordinary undertaking thing to do. For their wedding ceremony, they choose the wooden beach gazebo and even with the minimal decoration, it looked gorgeous. The background -as you can see on their wedding pictures- was simply the most perfect wedding set up that they could’ve asked for.
One of the benefits to have an elopement destination wedding -apart from all the stress that you could have- is having extra time to extend our newlywed photo session in so many different locations. There’s no rush for anyone and that is the best for a wedding photographer. Trust us on that!
