Madison & Ryan met in 2013 when Madison was playing a golf tournament at a golf course in Syracuse, New York, where Ryan worked. They dated for around 8 years before getting engaged, and got married 1.5 years later.

In their heads, they always wanted a smaller destination wedding, so they researched a few locations before deciding on the Dominican Republic, mainly for the ease of travel for them and their guests.

GGG: We always say that wedding planning is not an easy task, especially if you are having a destination wedding, but tell us how was this experience for you?

Madison: “We worked with both the Finest wedding department (our coordinator was Ivana) and an outside day coordinator (Evelyn Baez from Luxury events). The resort starts planning with you 3 months prior to the wedding, so having Evelyn to bounce ideas off of prior to that was vital to keeping us relaxed and on track. It was hard to believe we’d be able to plan a wedding with the resort in 3 months, but they are a well oiled machine and helped make our day absolutely perfect”.

GGG: Do you recommend this resort as a wedding venue?

Madison: “Well, we needed a resort that was family friendly, and the fact that this resort had two separate sides, one for families and one for adults-only was a huge selling point. Plus, the resort is new and absolutely gorgeous”.

GGG: Let’s talk about your wedding theme…

Madison: “We had white, green, and gold for all the decor, keeping it tropical and most importantly, fun!”
