Gorgeous wedding celebration at Secrets Royal Punta Cana / Alyssa & Drew
“A modern day love story- we met on instagram’ tells us Alyssa.
Both Alyssa and Drew are physical therapists. — Alyssa had seen Drew on a physical therapy video podcast, thought he was cute and followed him on instagram. A couple months later he messaged her. They talked on and off for about 5-6 months before Drew flew out to Baltimore to meet me and the rest is history.
G: Why did you decide to have a destination wedding here in Punta Cana?
A: “We knew we wanted to do a destination wedding because of our love for the beach and it seemed better to have both of our friends/families have to travel. Drew has friends who got married at Secrets Royal Beach and couldn’t say enough good things. The idea of making our wedding a big party seemed awesome”
The couple chose Secrets Royal Beach as their wedding venue and everything turned out great.
G: Why did you choose this all inclusive to having your wedding celebration?
A: Well, I researched and thought it was beautiful and after our first call with Andres, we were sold. The process was so easy as Andres was amazing and handled it all”
The resort is located about 25 minutes from the Punta Cana international airport. It has a beautiful beach and calm waters. For that reason, the couple decided to book a trash the dress session, two days after their wedding celebration. We had a great time doing this special photo shoot. We will post a selection of this session very soon!
The wedding ceremony was celebrated at the Fountain, very classy. They decided to have a first look and it was a pretty emotional moment. Right after that, we were able to capture some romantic images of the couple before their ceremony.
Their reception at Olio Restaurant -one of the 18 restaurants and bars at this resort- was a blast. Also, as the wedding was in June, the weather was hot so, having an inside wedding reception wasn’t a bad idea.
