Intimate destination Wedding in Secrets Royal Punta Cana – Erin & Erik.
Erin & Erik are one of the most laidback couples we’ve ever had! Despite the Covid situation around the world, they were pretty confident that their destination wedding in Punta Cana was going to be as they have planned from the beginning. Their attitude made us feel so comfortable and their wedding celebration was simply stunning.
They got married at Secrets Royal Punta Cana, an adult-only, luxury, all-inclusive resort with over 700 yards of a palm-studded white sand beach along the turquoise Caribbean Sea. “A year ago, we went to Erins sister’s wedding at Secrets in Cancun. The resort did such an amazing job at the first wedding we knew we wanted to use Secrets. We picked Punta Cana because we had never been to the Dominican Republic before and it looked like a great place to visit” said Erik – the groom.
You should know that this resort was called “Now Larimar Punta Cana” before, but since June 2020, it was rebranded by AM Resorts as Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana. The resort had have a lot of renovations and it became a luxury place. Take note that if you are traveling with kids, you couldn’t stay here, but Dreams Royal Beach is just right next door.
Regarding their experience with the resort, Erin says: “Everyone is always very friendly at the resort. It felt like a safe place to stay. The scenery and the beach were taken care of very well. We liked the number of restaurants that were available to the guests. Unfortunately, the food quality was not very good”.
Erin & Erik decided to have an intimate wedding celebration with only their families and some friends as witness. Moments before the wedding ceremony starts, they had a very romantic “first look photo-session” We have to say that at the beginning they weren’t so sure about this but we convinced them that it would be a special moment for both, and it turned out great.
As we said before, we were pleasantly surprised for the attitude of Erin & Erik and the rest of their family. Larissa, Erin’s sister, was in charge of everything, so the couple was able to really enjoy all their wedding celebration and their stance here. Also Francina – the onsite wedding planner- did a great job with them.
As we said, they had a small wedding so, with no reception, we had plenty time for their newlywed photo session (as it should be). The weather was so pleasant -even in March, that we have some rainy and windy days- our drone captured pretty good pictures of them. Both looked amazing and so in love!
