Jellyfish Punta Cana wedding // Alissa & Sebastian

This wedding, hands down, has been one of the most special wedding celebration we’ve ever done in Punta Cana, the reason?
Alissa & Sebastian weren’t our clients that day, they have been are our friends for more than a decade and they honoured us by asking to portrait them on this important and special moment of their lives. How cool is that?

As professional wedding photographers in Punta Cana, we are present in hundreds of weddings, year after year. We are touched by the special moments lived in each and everyone of them, sometimes we even cry at some speeches, but we definitely enjoy every part of our work.
We don’t usually go to weddings as guests but as photographers. In this case we were both. It takes a special type of person that can separate the professional of the friend in need to have the best time by having a tequila shot with the bride and groom (our close friends).
We did our best and we think we accomplished what we and the couple wanted ;-)

They decided to get married after the pandemic situation was being “controlled” in the world, but nonetheless it was a difficult time for their wedding planning and everybody.
“There were a lot of ups and downs. Some of our friends and family couldn’t make it to Punta Cana for the wedding, but it ended up working out perfectly with the small group who were able to attend” said Alissa.
And it was exactly like that! We lived a remarkable wedding celebration surrounded by family and close friends.

“Sebastian and I met in Bavaro 6 and a half years ago. It was a smaller town back then, and everyone knew everyone. If you didn’t know someone, you were bound to meet them soon enough. I had seen Sebastian around town a couple of times, and I knew it was only a matter of time before we actually met. One day, there he was: at the pool in my apartment complex. We started talking and a group of us spent the whole night together. Sebastian and I just hit it off. We’ve been together ever since!

So, as locals, they knew pretty well Jellyfish Restaurant so they thought that it would be perfect for their wedding celebration. “It’s a gorgeous venue and they have great food! Plus we knew their team would handle everything so that made it easy for us’ says Sebastian. Great choice!

As we said, it was a pretty special celebration for us because we were not only their wedding photographers, we really felt part of the entire festivity!
