A Few ‘Must Do’ Weddings Photo-ideas for your Big Day!!!

After the booking process, the communication between clients and photographers is really important for us, we are always open to discuss ideas and suggestions for your wedding.

Based in our experience as wedding photographers in Punta Cana, we feel that talking with the future brides and grooms about the timeline, the best light or moments of the day for each event based on light, bests spots for your pictures, etc. is a must and extremely important to make sure everything goes smoothly on that day and that you have the best pictures. And although we have many ideas for awesome images, we are open for the couple’s own photography ideas for their wedding day. Most of them, come from Pinterest or Instagram, we have to confess that they are a pretty good source of inspiration but, we’d love to do something more personal.

We always encourage the couple to generate authentic moments where true emotions will come to light for us to portray. How? Let’s see some ideas…

First Look

A “First Look” it’s an emotional moment on its own. The reveal of the bride to the groom for the first time in her wedding gown is priceless. Sometimes, bride and groom decide to do a “First Touch” to comply with the tradition of not seeing each other before the actual ceremony, that’s a different kind of moment altogether but same intensity on the feelings. And sometimes, the bride decides to have a first look with her dad a few minutes before the ceremony starts.

Things to throw when walking out the isle.

There are several options and all of them are good for pictures. Our favorite “goodie”: beach balls. They are pretty colorful and give a Caribbean beach vibe on your wedding pictures. But, if you’re looking for something more romantic, flowers petals are the best option. Finally, if you have an environment conscience, biodegradable confetti could be the best choice for you.

Have a unique ceremony.

Make a personalized wedding ceremony theme doesn’t have to be a difficult task for you. Your wedding planner could suggest the many ways to do this:
Sand ceremony, paint something together, literally tying the knot where bride and groom braid two or three ropes together (specially, if you have children), etc. Let your imagination fly!

Kids.

Having two toddlers on our own, we can say that we are really used to having kids in a wedding celebration. They give us tons of opportunities to capture special moments!!! From their clothing all the way to their funny faces, the chances to get a good picture are endless!

Play a game.

During wedding reception, when the dances, speeches and all the formal events are done, you will need a good “keep-the-party-going” kind of thing. Why not planning a game? Everyone will be involved, there will be really funny moments and for sure, they will spice up your party!

Everyone jump on the dance floor.

Ok, let’s be honest, not everyone likes to dance, so maybe to hire an entertainment company could be a good idea! Hots productions – for example – offers several options for “Crazy hour”/”Hora loca” for your party. Believe us, with some drinks and everybody in a “party mode”, some of your favorite wedding pictures will be taken at this time!!!
