Off-Resort Wedding Venues in Punta Cana Jellyfish restaurant.
Looking for the perfect off-resort wedding venue in Punta Cana? Look no further than Jellyfish Restaurant! This stunning location is a favorite among couples for its beautiful beachfront setting, exceptional cuisine, and romantic ambiance. Whether you’re dreaming of a sunset ceremony or a chic beach reception, Jellyfish Restaurant is a fantastic choice for making your special day unforgettable!
“We loved the idea of having a private venue for our wedding with just our family/friends. While the resort weddings look beautiful, we didn’t want other random vacationers (sometimes in their bathing suits) wandering around during our ceremony. It was the best decision ever! It was an intimate celebration with 76 of our closest family and friends. Every guest including ourselves stayed at Secrets and Dreams Royal Beach 7 minutes down the road from Jellyfish and they helped arrange the transportation so that part was very easy and stress free” – Rachel / the bride.
Tell us about your wedding planning journey, Rachel. How did you decide on tying the knot, especially here?
We have been to many all inclusive resorts for vacations together in the Caribbean and Mexico and we both agreed that we wanted to have a beautiful beach wedding. We considered having a US wedding. however it would’ve been a large wedding with over 150 guests (which we didn’t really want), and much pricier.  Once we decided on a destination wedding, we started googling private wedding venues in Punta Cana and Mexico, and exploring different “destination bride” Facebook pages. We read tons and tons of reviews which were so helpful. We had visited Punta Cana for one of our first vacations together in 2018 and had an amazing time. We fell in love with the aesthetic of Jellyfish restaurant online and it truly was even more beautiful in person. The inside was so elegant and charming, and the ceremony/dance floor view of the blue water with the boats was breathtaking. Every online review of Jellyfish was absolutely glowing, and so many people kept commenting how their guests felt it was the “best wedding ever.” And this is exactly how our guests felt! Farah and the Jellyfish team were responsive and reassuring (planning a wedding from afar can be stressful at times). We knew we needed to just trust them from looking at their previous weddings and reviews and we truly couldn’t have had a more perfect day.
Rachel & Emmet’s story began on a night out in Boston in 2015. They have been through so many milestones together, graduations and career achievements, and they couldn’t have asked for a more amazing week and day celebrating their wedding in Punta Cana with their closest family and friends.
Finally, what is the theme of your wedding? We’re curious about the unique touches that made your day extra special.
“Rustic beach theme! Our colors were gold, pink, and ivory flowers with greenery. The groom/groomsmen wore light blue and the bridesmaids wore different shades of light pink and the colors were perfect with the beach background. The inside of the restaurant has a beautiful, rustic look with the brick walls which was perfect for our vision. The best add on to the wedding that really felt right for the beach/outdoor wedding was adding the cigar rolling station on the beach, the guests loved this and it was a great way to enjoy the joy of being outside” R.
