Wedding photography – Hilton La Romana – Bruna & Gustavo
We’re are based in Punta Cana and most of our photography happens in or around this area, but we can’t deny we love to drive -around 40 minutes- to Hilton La Romana.
This all inclusive resort -formerly known as Dreams La Romana- is located about 15 minutes away from the town where it gets its name. This resort is actually located in a town called Bayahibe, where you can get some of the most awesome excursions during your stay: Saona and Catalina Island are breathtaking journeys and both of them are just a boat ride away.
If you are interested in tasting some local food (fresh fish, rice, beans and tostones), you can’t miss the opportunity to go to some local restaurants where most of them have an impressive ocean view, you can also taste Italian or French cousine (there is a big community of these countries here).
All these options are just a walk by the shore or also you can take a cab from the resort.
We are not lying when we say that you can find paradisiac beaches, picturesque places and touristic attractions for your perfect holidays, destination wedding or some romantic getaway.
Hilton La Romana is a family beach resort but also it has an “adults only area”. For weddings, they offer two ocean front gazebos but they are not actually on the beach, so it’s guaranteed that you won’t have nosey tourists during your wedding ceremony.
The white gazebo (our favorite) has an spectacular background with the waves crashing on the coral. Can you imagine your newlywed photo session with this natural effect on your pictures? It is the dream of any wedding photographer, we only have to wait for the perfect moment to get that image. Believe us, it’s worth the time.
The other gazebo is located between the gardens and the shore. It is more secluded.
Bruna and Gustavo choose the first one and it was perfect. We recommended them to set their wedding ceremony around 4.00pm for their particular day (asks us what’s best for yours) so we have enough time for their family pictures and then we could continue with the newlywed photo session until the sunset over the ocean.
This resort has several spots for the photo session including pictures done with drone and we didn’t want to miss any of them.
If you are thinking to have an outside reception -on the gardens- like them, we highly recommend you to rent a dance floor to continue with the party.
